WeCare Arts Experiences
About WeCare Arts Experiences
As part of a deeper collaboration between NAC and the five CDCs, the WeCare Arts Experiences (WCAE) encourages beneficiaries from less privileged backgrounds to access arts and cultural experiences curated by the NAC and cultural institutions for free.
Through these experiences, beneficiaries can bond over a shared arts experience with immediate family members, caregivers or befrienders and strengthen social ties.
Activities Supported by the Scheme
WeCare Arts Experiences provides funding support for tickets, transportation, light refreshments, and excursion insurance to facilitate the attendance at arts experiences of:
-
beneficiaries who are the recipients of an SSA’s services and assistance;
-
beneficiaries who receive financial and/or social assistance support from Community Development Councils (CDCs), Grassroot Organisations (GROs), and Self-Help Groups (SHGs);
-
the immediate family and caregivers of beneficiaries; and
-
volunteers who accompany beneficiaries to the arts experiences.
The scheme supports a wide range of ticketed and non-ticketed arts and cultural programmes. These include programmes by arts and cultural institutions, national museums and heritage institutions, national arts companies, programmes under SG Culture Pass, and other signature programmes. The diverse selection caters to various age groups and families.
Who is the Scheme for?
