ASSISTING THE NEEDY

The North West Interim Financial Assistance Scheme (IFAS) provides temporary assistance to vulnerable residents in the North West District to tide them through their financial difficulties. 

CDC Vouchers Scheme

Up to 1.3 million Singaporean households will each receive $100 in CDC vouchers which can be spent at the participating hawkers and heartland merchants. Singaporean households will have a year to claim and spend their vouchers. The vouchers have to be claimed by 31 December 2022.

North West Home Fix Scheme

The North West Home Fix Scheme aims to provide safe and functional homes for the needy residents in the North West District by repairing any faulty items in the household that are essential to the basic living and safety environment.

North West Food Aid Fund

The North West Food Aid Fund aims to complement National ComCare scheme by supporting needy residents who do not meet the National ComCare scheme criteria but are still in need of help in defraying their household expenses, through Food Vouchers and Cooked Meals Delivery.

DigiReady @ North West

DigiReady @ North West is an initiative by the North West Community Development Council (CDC), to provide holistic support to vulnerable residents in the following aspects of digital readiness: refurbished devices and accessories, subsidised broadband, and troubleshooting faulty digital devices.

Huggies Singapore Diaper Bank @ North West provides temporary assistance to needy families with children diapers.

Know your Medicine, Get It Right! @ North West

Know your Medicine, Get It Right! @ North West is a ground-up initiative by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore and NUS Pharmaceutical Society to provide one to one personalised consultations to residents on proper medicinal usage and storage methods. 

Project I-Care @ North West

Project I-Care @ North West is a ground-up initiative in collaboration with Singapore Women’s Association and Singapore National Eye Centre to provide eye screening for the vulnerable elderly in the district.
